The increasing number of computerized storybooks now commercially available to teachers raises important questions about appropriate ways to make use of them in classrooms. This instructional resource offers suggestions that will help classroom teachers effectively incorporate these powerful resources into their instruction. It also summarizes research evidence about how electronic storybooks affect students' literacy development, and it offers a glimpse at future developments educators can expect, especially a growing role in the literacy acquisition of children.
