Participants from Washington, Hawaii, Majuro, Palau, Guam and other points in the Northern Mariana Islands came together to share information relating to the functions of libraries and archives as information banks and as preservers of the cultural heritage of Micronesia. Papers presented were: (1) "Reading Motivation in the Pacific" (Marilyn Camacho-Salas); (2) "Fund Raising" (Lee Webber); (3) "Public Relations" (Lee Webber); (4) "Selected Health Reference Services for the Non-Health Sciences Library" (Irene Lovas); (5) "Children's Library Services in Pohnpei" (Nel Lawson); (6) "More Books for the Buck" (Richard Meldrom); (7) "Small Archives for Librarians and Curators" (Garth Crockford); and (8) "Computers: Access to the University of Guam Library and the Internet" (Arlene Cohen).
