The document begins with a discussion of the National Transition Network, focusing on its historical background and state-level technical assistance. "Transition from School to Adult Life for Students with Disabilities: A Guide for Educators in Nebraska Public Schools" (Barbara Schliesser and others) clarifies work guidelines, presents transition services indicators, and reviews the specification of transition services in Individualized Education Programs. Sharon deFur then describes Virginia's UNITE (Unified Intercommunity & Transition Empowerment) for Youth with Disabilities in a paper titled "A Planning Aid To Integrate Transition into IEPs Using Strategic Questioning."
