Washington State Department of Social and Health Services County Data Report: Fiscal Year 1991.
Yette, Rebecca; And Others
This report describes clients served by the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) from July 1990 through June 1991. The report lists the number of clients served in ten DSHS programs--broken down by county--and the direct service dollars spent on those clients. Researchers also grouped the clients by age and by ethnicity. The ten divisions covered, the types of client each division served, and the programs which are included in the Needs Assessment Database (NADB) Client Database--the data upon which this report is based--are described in a glossary. The NADB Client Database included 75 different programs and accounted for about 90 percent of the estimated DSHS clients statewide. How the data can be used to answer direct and indirect questions about DSHS clients is described. The bulk of the report consists of 81 tables of data. Five appendices included details on client unduplication, cost of service in the NADB client database, resolving conflicts in race/ethnicity and gender during unduplication, home address of clients, and data sources which contributed to the NADB client database.
