This training manual written for elementary and secondary school teachers in the Columbus, Ohio, Public Schools, explains how to use the Internet. An introduction explains how computers in different locations can be connected and provides a general description of telecommunications software. How to log in and how to use various Internet tools are described. Worksheets are included to help the reader learn and practice the approaches to the Internet. Specific Internet resources, including AskERIC, are described. Ideas for using the Internet in projects are summarized, and resources that provide pointers for lesson plans are reviewed.
