Females comprised 71.6% of Colorado's teachers, as well as 39% of principals and just over 10% of superintendents. American Indians, Asians, Blacks, and Hispanics represented 9.0% of Colorado's teachers, while the same groups made up 25.9% of the total student population. Of all classroom teachers, 65.6% were aged over 40. Three illustrations and 12 tables present details about the characteristics of Colorado teachers. (SLD)
