From Library Skills to Information Literacy: A Handbook for the 21st Century.

This handbook is designed to help classroom teachers, library media specialists, and others who wish to integrate information literacy into their curriculum. It provides models and strategies which encourage children and young adults to find, analyze, create, and use information as they become productive citizens. The following topics are addressed: information literacy defined; stages of the research process; instructional planning for information literacy; instructional strategies for developing information literacy; sample scenarios of integrated units; and integrating information literacy into local or state frameworks.
