A project was conducted to integrate and enhance the applied technology components of instruction provided to students in mathematics and science throughout Texas. During the project, sets of staff development activities on 9 topics were developed and made available to pilot program sites, 96 integrated interdisciplinary instructional activities were finalized, release time was provided for teachers to attend the staff development activities and for vocational and academic teachers to spend time shadowing each another, instructional resources to aid in planning and/or delivering integrated instruction were purchased, and technical assistance was provided to help participating teachers develop a model for integrating vocational and academic instruction in their districts. (This document includes a brief project report and four appendixes containing the following: combined and individual responses to the project needs assessment completed by pilot site practitioners, monthly academic/vocational integration project reports submitted by the individual schools serving as pilot sites, and agendas of their advisory committee meetings.)
