This book provides 234 tested, easy-to-use exercises, games, and activities to help reading specialists and classroom teachers correct students' individual reading skill deficiencies at the primary, intermediate, and upper levels. The activities in the book are sequentially organized in the basic skill areas of phonic analysis, structural analysis, comprehension, and oral reading, as well as a special selection of activities in the area of survival reading skills especially designed for readers in the intermediate and upper grades. The book also includes a reproducible individual pupil checklist of reading skills which lists the skills as they are usually encountered in the reading skills continuum and can be used to keep a record of each child's reading skill needs.
