This report presents trend data for institutions of the State University of New York (SUNY) involving fixed and variable charges that are required of all full-time students, including tuition, college fees, activity fees, room and board, and supplies and other costs. Most of the report consists of statistical tables listing the trends in all basic student charges for students at all institutions that comprise the SUNY since 1980, and giving the fixed costs since the inception of the standard tuition charges across the state-operated institutions. Tables present: (1) the trends in student tuition by program level and other charges, (2) a summary of charges per academic year from 1963-64 through 1992-93 in SUNY operated institutions, (3) the trends in tuition and required fees at the State University of New York from 1980-81 through 1992-93, (4) the range of resident tuition charges per academic year at community colleges compared with SUNY between 1980-81 to 1992-93, (5) the trends in the distribution of allowances for variable student costs between 1980-81 and 1992-93 for three cohorts of students at SUNY, (6) comparison numbers of the total undergraduate student costs between 1980-81 and 1992-93 in state-operated campuses, and (7) the trends in total undergraduate costs and allowances within student budgets between 1980-81 to 1992-93 at the State University of New York.
