This publication, one in a series of biennial reports, reports on the status of and projections for higher education enrollments in the state of Washington. The main sources of enrollment data included in this report are from the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges Management Information System and from the Higher Education Enrollment Reports covering four-year public institutions and branch campuses. Additional data were provided by individual institutional admissions offices, registrars, and research offices of all public and private four-year institutions and vocational-technical institutes and other agencies. Following a brief introduction in chapter 1, chapter 2 covers state enrollment highlights. Chapter 3 details student characteristics for public community colleges (Fall 1991) and for four-year public universities (Fall 1992). Chapter 4 shows actual and budgeted full-time equivalents of personnel at state 2-year and 4-year institutions. Chapter 5 looks at baseline fall enrollment projections for 1993-94 to 2020-21. Chapter 6 contains an applications match study of student financial aid indicating the level of unmet need. Chapter 7 shows county participation rates. Chapter 8 offers state education attainment data and state participation rates as compared to national averages. Extensive appendixes contain historical and current enrollment statistics and supporting and miscellaneous data for the enrollment projections. (JB)
