Guidelines for Making a Video Presentation on Early Development.
Cooper, Carolyn S.; And Others
This paper discusses the production of videotape recordings illustrating developmental milestones of early childhood to serve as a reference point in working with parents or staff caring for young children who have disabilities. Procedures for making a video presentation include the following steps: select a topic (such as motor development, self-help skill development, play skill development, or early language/communication development); research the developmental area and develop an outline; select and schedule the children for the video; establish a shooting plan; and consider technical aspects such as sound, lights, composition, editing, audio dubbing, graphics, and tape copying. The paper includes two references on video production, a list of four developmental checklists, and a list of nine books on development of children with disabilities. (JDD)
