The Granite School District (Utah) conducted a project to implement competency-based/technology-assisted instruction in all of its adult high schools. The district adopted the state's core curriculum in order to establish clearly defined instructional goals and objectives; revised and added to the instructional units; made the curriculum uniform throughout the district; computerized instruction, testing, and recordkeeping; and developed individual education plans as part of the process of implementing competency-based/technology-assisted instruction in all adult high schools. As a result of the project, the following materials were developed and are included in the appendix: a sample course syllabus; preliteracy and literacy curriculum; mathematics curriculum; English curriculum; and a software evaluation.
