A workshop was developed to help teachers develop instructional strategies for teaching children science using basic science materials and available resources. Emphasis was on process-oriented activities, group work, discrepant events, learning cycle activities, questioning strategies, Project Wild and/or Project Learning Tree materials, integrating textbooks with curriculum projects, outdoor classrooms, field trips, and community resources.
