China has recently developed a national infrastructure of institutional units, from the central to county level, for the training of educational administrators. The range, scope, and dimensions of educational administrative training as conducted in China in 1985 are described in this document. Contents include an introduction to the Chinese system of educational administration and descriptions of the various training institutions, curriculum and research, and professional development. Three major features of the national educational administrative policy include a formal professional development plan; integration of training, research, and administration; and curriculum development.
