This manual about women and sports leadership--coach, official, athletic director, board of control member--explains why there should be concern about the lack of women in sports leadership positions. It also explains how programs can be implemented to increase the number of women in these positions. The first chapter presents a brief history of athletics for girls and women in the United States.
