This bibliography consists of 87 entries of materials related to population trends in rural and nonmetropolitan areas. This collection is the result of a computerized search of the AGRICOLA database. The bibliography covers topics of rural population change, migration and migrants, farm labor supplies and social conditions, and different patterns of population shift in rural and urban areas. The entries, all available from the National Agricultural Library's (NAL) Rural Information Center, are broken down as follows: 32 journal articles; 15 books; 14 journals; 6 articles of international interest, 5 audiovisual resources; 4 bibliographies; and several indexes and abstract sources. Each entry includes author, title, publication date, publication source, paging, the NAl call number, and, in some cases, a brief abstract. Entered in the database between January 1979 and December 1988, the listed material represents a sampling of frequently used resources in the NAL. (TES)
