Provided are descriptions of 520 resources for teaching thinking skills to students in kindergarten through the fourth year of high school. Each entry includes the title; name of developer; type of material; purpose and use; type of thinking skills addressed; a brief description; the publisher's name, address, and phone number; the cost; order number; and range of grade levels. Each resource is coded for subject area appropriateness in language arts and reading, science, art, guidance, health, mathematics, social studies, history, music, and combinations of subjects. Two indexes provide information on purpose, use, and type of skill. Use categories include assessment, enrichment, instruction, parent involvement, and reinforcement and remediation. Skill categories include basic skills, creative and critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving. Some resources are indicated as especially useful with at-risk youth. (RH)
