This document contains an edited transcript of a forum held as part of a research project called Thinkahead, which was designed to serve as a catalyst for developing educational models that will prepare people to think more critically and creatively in the world of the future. The forum participants, all business people concerned about the ways in which the educational system prepares young people for the world of work, were invited to share their experiences and recommendations. The three questions around which the discussion ranged were (1) What will be the basis of the future economy and how will it affect the workplace?; (2) Which thinking skills, interpersonal skills, and strategies will be necessary to create the world of the future?; and (3) How should young people be prepared for the envisioned future?
