Michigan Postsecondary Admissions & Financial Assistance Handbook: 1989-90.
Michigan State Board of Education, Lansing.
The 22nd annual edition of Michigan's Postsecondary Admissions & Financial Assistance Handbook provides essential information regarding contact personnel, campus characteristics, admission requirements, program offerings, and application procedures for each college and university in the state. It contains a listing of over 7,000 instructional programs that are available in Michigan's postsecondary institutions and indicates those programs wherein a student might qualify for teacher certification in a major field. Information on various private occupational schools that are licensed or approved to operate in Michigan is offered along with basic information on financial assistance opportunities available to prospective students. After a brief consideration of education and career planning, schools are listed alphabetically within the following five categories: (1) Michigan public junior and community colleges; (2) Michigan public four-year institutions; (3) Michigan independent two-year and four-year colleges and universities; (4) vocational school programs licensed by Michigan Department of Education; and (5) occupational programs licensed by other state agencies. A program cross-index to all schools listed previously is also provided as is a guide to financial aid. (SM)
