The survey contained in this file presents data collected on students enrolled in occupational programs in public and private non-collegiate postsecondary schools. The file contains information on: (1) age; (2) sex; (3) racial and ethnic background; (4) current employment; (5) future educational and employment plans; and (6) parental background. The sample of 404 schools was chosen from the schools throughout the United States and Puerto Rico that responded to the 1980 Postsecondary Career School Survey. The student sample consisted of 7,977 students. Tape documentation presents descriptions of the variables and listings of the education and occupation codes used. TYPE OF SURVEY: National Survey; Sample Survey. POPULATION: Noncollegiate Postsecondary Schools; Noncollegiate Postsecondary Students. SAMPLE: Noncollegiate Postsecondary Schools (404); Noncollegiate Postsecondary Students (7,977).
