This document contains 11 case studies of Canadian adult education and extension projects. Titles are: (1) Buchans Community Transmitter: A Threatened Community Considers Its Future (Curran); (2) Canadian Congress for Learning Opportunities for Women (Gaskin); (3) Healthline: Center for Corporate Health Promotion (Pratt); (4) Distance Education at the University of Victoria (Haughey); (5) Case Study of Bathurst Heights Adult Learning Centre (Elysee-Collen); (6) East End Literacy (Gaber-Katz); (7) A Learner-Centered Social Services Model of Adult Basic Education (Rundle); (8) Residential Adult Education in Canada: Quetico Conference and Training Centre (Abel); (9) McMaster University Medical School Program (McTaggart); (10) Continuing Medical Education for Family Physicians (Jennett); and (11) Literacy and Development (Draper). Each study begins with a "face sheet" on which is recorded basic information about the entity studied and the case study itself. The studies typically describe the setting of the institution, event, or other item under study; its process, including participants, planning, and evaluation; the outcomes, including goals, influences, and benefits; input into the process, including staff, finances, and facilities; and a summary. In addition to the case descriptions, this document includes information on the World Perspective case study project, indexes of all cases by country and by category, and guidelines for contributors.
