Data are presented in tabular form concerning the distribution of 1987-88 high school graduates of New York State's public and nonpublic schools. The data reflect the status of graduates as reported by school principals in the fall of 1988. Table 1 presents trends in the college-going rate of high school graduates from 1974 through 1988. Table 2 shows a 15-year trend of the college-going rate, within and outside New York State. Tables 3, 4 and 5 show, respectively, the distribution of 1987-88 high school graduates of public schools, nonpublic schools, and public/nonpublic schools combined.
