This illustrated manual and survey forms are designed to be used by organizations, hotel and restaurant associations, interested individuals and others as a guide for selecting accessible conference, meeting, and lodging facilities. The guidelines can also be used with existing facilities to identify specific modifications and accommodations. The guidelines distinguish between minimum considerations and preferred features based on the functional use of facilities and the needs and capabilities of people with disabilities. Most of the minimum or desired features are illustrated with drawings. Guidelines are given for the following facility components: parking/walkways, entrances, interior circulation, public rest rooms, meeting rooms/conference facilities, guest rooms, additional factors, and national conferences/multi-site meetings. Appended are a bibliography, design specifications, and the complete building access survey form for conference, meeting, and lodging facilities. (DB)
