This learning activity packet (LAP) contains five self-paced study lessons that allow students to proceed along a 22-hour course of study for dBase III Plus Advanced at their own pace. It continues the introductory dBase III Plus course. The lessons are organized in the following way: objectives, completion standard, performance standard, a list of required materials, unit test, and exercises (applications of the operations to measure the laboratory competency of the student in regard to the materials presented in the LAP). Most lessons are presented in a "read and do" format. The lessons are: linking and updating multiple files; inputting and outputting to other programs; writing simple programs; system design and program development; and applications generator. Unit tests for each lesson and answer keys for the tests and all exercises are appended. These lessons have been prepared for use with the IBM Personal Computer. (YLB)
