Intended for school administrators from the middle school to the university level, the development and maintenance of an effective campus security program are discussed. The leadership role of the school's administrator is stressed and the use of security and safety teams, traffic studies and other measures, to identify security risks and evaluate protective measures, is discussed. Considerable attention is paid to the selection, organization, training, equipping, and operations use of the campus security force. Safety and security measures for athletic events, libraries, museums, galleries, and retail facilities are also addressed, as are problems of campus drugs, student disorders, and crisis intervention.
