For reading, objectives are defined for literal comprehension, understanding of explicitly stated material; (2) inferential comprehension; and (3) problem solving. For each objective, assessment characteristics are listed to show the context appropriate to the grade level in academic and everyday contexts. Sample questions accompany each objective. Strategies students may be using in incorrect answers are also discussed for each objective. (SLD)
