This manual keys school television programs to the Arts Education portion of the North Carolina "Teacher Handbook: Competency-Based Curriculum," and provides teachers with a guide to educational television programming according to competencies specified by the State of North Carolina in the area of arts education. Materials are divided into five subject areas--dance, music, theater arts, visual arts, and folk arts--and by grade level within subject areas. Under each specified competency goal, the competency objectives and/or measure are provided for each school television series and program title, together with school television program objectives and notes.
