This collection of articles exploring multimedia in education was compiled from presentations at an invitational conference on Multimedia in Education. (Anne Nicol); "A Layered Theory of Design for Optical Disc Software" (Mike Liebhold); "Links or Stories--A Compromise" (Bernard Frischer); "Getting a Boost from the Real World" (Ted Kaehler); "Authoring with Hypermedia" (Carol Kaehler); and "Navigation in Large Knowledge Spaces" (Stephen A.
