The guide, intended for teachers, outlines the program's admission criteria, original and revision curriculum committee membership, recommended instructional materials, general program objectives, specific objectives for the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades, suggested instructional strategies, specific linguistic structures to be taught, course organization, content themes (with vocabulary, exercises, visual aids, and other materials), suggestions for including cultural content, a sample core French lesson plan, and a list of additional instructional resources.
