This curriculum guide provides descriptions and sequenced topical outlines of courses in natural resources management, giving teachers a logical order for teaching the tasks that students should master to comply with competency-based education requirements in Virginia. The guide is organized in four sections. The introduction provides an overview of natural resources management occupations. Following the introduction is the Guide Application, which divides the occupational domain of natural resources management into programs and courses. This section also contains representative "Dictionary of Occupational Titles" (DOT) job titles that apply to this area. The Secondary Programs and Courses section contains program titles and descriptions, the courses included in each program, the applicable DOT titles, and a description and topical outline for each course. The Postsecondary Programs and Courses section includes the program title and description, as well as information related to program majors and specializations. A listing of Virginia Community College System course numbers and titles for Forestry and Recreational Parks and an outline for the postsecondary course follow.
