This catalog is a collection of profiles describing 74 exemplary programs developed by public school teachers in New York, New York, under IMPACT II, a program to reward and recognize creative teachers. The profiles are organized by subject area, then divided by grade levels. Subject areas covered are the following: (1) The Arts; (2) Communication Arts; (3) Computer Education; (4) The Constitution; (5) English as a Second Language/Foreign Languages; (6) Mathematics; (7) Physical Education; (8) Science; and (9) Social Studies. Each profile includes the following: (1) program description; (2) target group; (3) staffing; (4) materials and facilities; (5) outside resources; (6) brief statement of overall value; and (7) name, address, and telephone number of the creator. Catalog users are encouraged to contact directly the teachers who developed the programs for more information. Those interested in adapting one of the programs can qualify for a grant of $200. IMPACT II staff will also arrange interschool visits and coordinate workshops with developer teachers. Lists of the IMPACT II Review Committee Members, and Participating Teachers are included.
