Washington State Testing Program, Grade 11, Spring 1985.
Starry, Allan R.; Greenmun, Renny
The results of administration of the Washington Pre-College Test (WPCT) to a statewide sample of eleventh-grade public high school students during March of 1985 are reported. In addition to the test results, supporting information is reported on the students, including grades, credits earned, courses taken, academic and career interests, and academic and occupational expectations. The WPCT is a comprehensive career planning/guidance and college admissions/placement tool developed more than 30 years ago for use with Washington high school students. Data on 1,562 high school juniors are presented; the subjects represent a cross section of high school students in Washington. Results are provided on percentile equivalents and frequency distributions of test scores and grade point averages (GPAs), WPCT composite scores and overall GPA means, high school GPAs by subject area, students' final educational goals, comparisons with national Scholastic Aptitude Test data, high school credits earned, vocational interest inventory scores, student work experience, enrollment in advanced placement and accelerated and honors programs, participation in extracurricular activities, college choice factors, and percentile equivalents of WPCT combined composite scores. Twelve data tables and eight figures are provided. (TJH)
