Topics covered include how to: (1) understand art as part of the environment that can be seen and felt; (2) recognize illusions; (3) comprehend the language of paintings; (4) read a picture; and (5) judge a painting or picture. Activities are designed to stimulate thinking processes, comparisons, evaluations, and discussions, and readers are encouraged to use the materials to complete answers to questions and to solve puzzles.
