This curriculum guide contains the curriculum scope and sequence for the junior high school home economics program in Alberta, Canada. The first part of the guide provides an overview of the program in narrative format. Information is included on the rationale, goals, content, management process, characteristics of the adolescent learner, development of desirable student characteristics, facilities, learning resources in French and English, student evaluation, and the scope of the senior high school home economics curriculum. The second part of the guide contains the scope and sequence for the junior high curriculum, organized in three levels and grouped in three subject areas for each level (family studies, food studies, and clothing and textile studies). For each level and subject, the guide contains the following components: generalizations, objectives, implementation procedures, content, and process questions. (KC)
