Lin Elementary School: 1986-87 School Report.
Vivona, Carol
This report from the Lin Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents 22 findings concerning enrollment, attendance, reading achievement, and math achievement. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) scores on basic skills tests reflected an increase in student achievement in both reading and math; (2) the systemwide goal of reaching the state average on the criterion-referenced test was not met in the first grade but was met in the third grade; (3) the percentages of students who progressed in reading and math basals were above those of the system at all grade levels; and (4) strategies should be explored to facilitate improvement in first grade scores. Statistics and test scores are presented in 16 tables. (VM)
