This report from the Lakewood Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents 21 findings concerning enrollment, attendance, reading achievement, math achievement, and achievement in other subject areas. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) data from this school compare favorably with system or state data in kindergarten students' mastery of the criterion-referenced test, basal progress in reading and math, and third-grade performance in math on the same test; (2) the categories in which the school scored less favorably are the mobility index, basic skills test scores, and performance on the criterion-referenced tests in first and third grades; and (3) instruction must be improved in the areas where progress was less acceptable.
