This report from the Dunbar Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents eight findings concerning enrollment, reading achievement, and math achievement. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) basal progress was above system performance; (2) achievement test results improved; (3) scores on the basic skills test reached system goals; (4) first grade results on the criterion-referenced test were above the system level; and (5) the academic efforts and the caring atmosphere of the school helped children to excel and should be continued. Descriptive statistics and test scores are presented in 16 tables. (VM)
