Campbell Elementary School: 1986-87 School Report.
Plankenhorn, Andy
This report from the Campbell Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents eight findings concerning enrollment, attendance, reading achievement, and math achievement. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) the proportion of students reaching the system goals in both reading and math improved and was above the system average; (2) student performance on tests improved compared to 1986; (3) overall test performance was below the system's average; (4) improvement in achievement test scores can be achieved as staff continues to work on basal progress; (5) emphasis should be given to the remediation of weaknesses in kindergarten and first grade; and (6) the cooperative spirit in primary grades is helping students and should be continued. Descriptive statistics and test scores are presented in 17 tables. (VM)
