Ben Hill Elementary School: 1986-87 School Report.

This report from the Ben Hill Elementary School in Atlanta (Georgia) provides information on student achievement for the 1986-87 school year. The narrative presents 11 findings concerning enrollment, attendance, reading achievement and math achievement. Conclusions and recommendations generated from these findings are the following: (1) on most indices, the school's performance surpassed the systemwide performance levels; (2) slight modifications in the pacing of students through the math text would alleviate the slight shortcoming of the third and fourth grade progress in this area; (3) teachers in grades 1-3 should emphasize the skills that showed deficits; and (4) staff should review individual student performance reports to assess instructional needs.
