This manual contains guidelines for administering the Alberta, Canada, Achievement Testing Program in June 1987. The tests are administered to all students in grades 3, 6, 9, who have not been granted special exemption. The first section of the booklet includes information on the Achievement Test schedule, exemptions from the Achievement Testing Program, guidelines for test administration, test rules, responsibilities of the school, responsibilities of the principal, and a section on the responsibilities of private schools. In the second section there is more specific information for administering the achievement tests. Included are responsibilities of the teacher and specific directions for administering the grade 3 science test, grade 6 mathematics test, and grade 9 social studies test. Finally, addresses of additional Alberta Education Regional Offices are given for further inquiries regarding the 1987 Achievement Testing Program. (KSA)
