Guidelines for the Management of Health Impaired Students.
Campbell, Mindy S.; And Others
The guidelines discuss appropriate educational services for children with special health problems. An initial chapter considers the range of common needs of this population, including modification of daily schedule and health related services. Five suggestions are offered to support families, among them understanding needs and rights and facilitating problem solving. The educational service delivery process is viewed in terms of identification, assessment, eligibility, individualized education programs (IEPs), placement, and implementation. Separate chapters address each of the service delivery process components, with sample forms, statements, and reports included throughout. (CL)
