Topics covered include correspondence study, correspondence schools, distance education, educational radio, educational television, external degree programs, home study, independent study, open universities, telecommunications, teleconferencing, telecourses, telephone instruction, and videotex. Information provided for the individual entries, which were identified through computer searches and selective manual searches, includes the author, title, publication date, and ERIC document number. Reviews of these documents appear in the monthly index, Resources in Education, and the full text of most of them is available through both the ERIC microfiche collection and the ERIC Document Reproduction Center.
