This document contains 34 abstracts that describe sex equity projects operating in Virginia during fiscal year 1986-87 with federal funding through the Carl D. Perkins Vocational Education Act of 1984. The abstracts are organized in the following eight categories: (1) centers to serve single parents and homemakers; (2) programs to serve teenage parents; (3) programs for women to explore nontraditional trade and industrial careers; (4) programs for women to explore high technology careers; (5) mini-grants to eliminate sex bias and to enhance sex equity for men and women; (6) implementation of the Women in Nontraditional Careers (WINC) curriculum; (7) a statewide public relations program; and (8) a statewide program to assist teachers and counselors in promoting vocational sex equity. Each two-page abstract contains information on the name of the director, the location, telephone number, time frame, funding level, objectives, procedures for implementation, and contributions to vocational education.
