The Teacher Center Program (Washington, D.C.) provides an environment where teachers may come to work on materials or projects for their classrooms, take courses for recertification credit, college credit, or enrichment, and take graduate level courses. Chapter one of this evaluation report on the Teacher Center Program describes the background of the program and the project objectives. Chapter two consists of a description of the Planning, Monitoring, and Implementing (PMI) Evaluation Model for Decision-Making used in the report. A narrative discussion of evaluation results followed by a point-by-point description of inputs, processes, and outcomes of the major program objectives is presented in chapter three. Appendices make up about half the document. They include: (1) an evaluation model schema; (2) the undergraduate program announcement; (3) the 1985-86 D.C. Teacher Center Log of Activities; (4) samples of dissemination materials; (5) summary of Teacher Center presentation evaluations; (6) Teacher Center teacher survey: staff development; (7) Teacher Center teacher survey: facilities; and (8) dial-a-teacher summary by content/subject.
