This cooperative agreement among the North Dakota Department of Human Services (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Division of Developmental Disabilities), explains the necessity of providing a coordinated continuum of services to individuals with disabilities and outlines procedures to be followed. Addressed in the individual sections of the agreement are its purpose; the roles and functions of each of the agencies; their service capabilities; their roles and their areas of primary responsibility; the implementation plan for developing and maintaining interagency cooperation (including definitions and responsibilities, training necessary for implementation of the agreement and procedures for monitoring the agreement, obtaining feedback, and conducting annual reviews); and state agreement assurances. The services to be provided by Special Education, Vocational Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Developmental Disabilities in the areas of client identification, assessment, individualized program planning, program implementation and training activities, and service delivery systems (including related services) are presented in chart form.
