This annotated bibliography on mastery learning, intended for use by teachers, administrators, curriculum-planners, and researchers, covers writings and reports on the following topics: (1) research reports; (2) use of mastery learning concepts and strategies; (3) task skills analysis; (4) sequential learning; (5) learning hierarchies; (6) task structure--linking instruction and testing; (7) time on task; (8) feedback; (9) tutoring; (10) error analysis; (11) response patterns; (12) designs and strategies for computer-assisted instruction/computer-managed instruction systems; (13) support systems for mastery learning; and (14) testing/scoring systems. Most entries contain: (1) purpose of the study; (2) procedures and/or design of the study; and (3) major findings and/or conclusions of the research. A five-page "definitions of terms" is provided. Some conclusions are briefly stated, and suggestions are made for further research on mastery learning. (JD)
