The bulk of the report contains data showing 8-year trends by sex and ethnicity, new hires/promotions, compensation ranges, and age distribution related to the following: (1) executive/administrative/managerial staff; (2) professional/non-faculty staff; (3) full-time faculty; (4) part-time faculty; (5) secretarial/clerical staff; (6) technical/paraprofessional staff; (7) skilled crafts staff; and (8) service/maintenance staff. In addition, information is provided on opportunities for change and actions taken in 1983-85; separations/new hires/promotions by sex and ethnicity, compensation, and age distribution for the 106 community colleges; the 20 district offices; and the community college system as a whole.
