This document presents witness testimonies and prepared statements from the Senate hearing called to examine the issue of missing and exploited children. In his opening statement, Senator McConnell discusses S. 1174, a bill he introduced to provide some limited funding for a matching grant program to establish state missing children's centers around the country. McConnell lists three purposes of the hearing: to hear testimony about S. 1174; to provide an update on the number of instances of missing and exploited children; and to present a report on the progress of Kentucky's missing children center.
