In order to keep pace with society's involvement in computer use, schools must prepare students to live and work in a society that uses computers in nearly all aspects of life. The general goal of this practicum was to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan to develop the proper use of computers in a selected school. A total of 21 primary teachers participated in a 10-month computer training in-service program. The in-service program focused on the use of the computer in the educational setting, basic computer concepts and languages, available educational software, and hands-on experience. It was anticipated that this in-service would increase the amount of time spent on computer education, increase the participants' knowledge of computers, and enable participants to demonstrate the proper use of computers in the educational setting.
